Band Auditions

Battle Details

The Second Annual Battle of the Bands will be held on Saturday, November 8th, 2014!

The event will be taking place in the courtyard adjacent to the Green Bench Brewery in Downtown St. Petersburg. There will be six local bands competing, selected via video audition submissions. Each competing band will be paid a minimum of $200 for participation. Grand prize this year will be $1,000 and studio time!

Audition Rules:

  1. Auditions must be submitted by email no later than August 31st.
  2. Auditions must be in video format and contain at least one full song.
  3. Band members seen playing in video must be the members that would be playing at the Battle.
  4. Preference is an emailed link to a video on YouTube, Vimeo or embedded on an external site. If you must email an actual video file, please make sure it is small enough for a standard email attachment (no more than 10 MB)
  5. Audition videos will be viewed and ranked by the Battle’s preliminary judges and the TOP SIX will be notified and invited to participate in the Battle. At that time, competing bands will be expected to sign a contract of participation.

Event Rules:

  1. The band must commit to attend the entire event.
  2. Bands are expected to bring own instruments/equipment.
  3. Each band competing will play one set, which MUST include 2 original songs and 2 covers.
  4. You are encouraged to invite friends and fans. They will be required to purchase a ticket for admission.
